NEW EVENT! In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Augusta Futurity: THE CHAMPIONS CHALLENGE!

1. CONTESTS
- All competition at the James Brown Arena, 601 7th Street, Augusta, Georgia

A. FUTURITY and CLASSIC:
4-Year-Old FUTURITY: $135,000 ADDED MONEY to be prorated between Open and Non-Pro classes. A contestant may show three (3) horses, 2005 foals, all breeds. All Non-Pros must qualify under NCHA Non-Pro regulations.

5/6-Year-Old CLASSIC: $135,000 ADDED MONEY to be prorated between Open and Non-Pro classes.
A contestant may show three (3) 5-year-old and three (3) 6-year-old horses, 2003 and 2004 foals, all breeds. All Non-Pros must qualify under NCHA Non-Pro regulations. The Open and Non-Pro Futurity and Classic classes will consist of two go-rounds and a finals. The top 55% of the first go-round will advance to the second go-round, and 20% plus ties (with a minimum of 16) will go to the finals.

The Champions Challenge: $10,000 added money in the Open and $10,000 in the Non-Pro classes.
Open to first 24 entries in each division. All past champions and reserve champions of any Augusta Futurity event are eligible (Area 18 Youth are NOT eligible). Cash only prize. The same horse may only ride once per contest. Any age horse may be ridden. All competitors must ride under current NCHA status. On Friday, January 30th the Open will work first followed by the Non-Pro. DOWNLOAD A CHAMPIONS CHALLENGE ENTRY FORM HERE!

Entry fees:
Futurity Open: $1,100 (jackpot) + $895 office/cattle = $1995
Futurity Non-Pro: $1,000 (jackpot) + $795 office/cattle = $1795
Classic Open: $1,095 (jackpot) + $895 office/cattle = $1990
Classic Non-Pro: $995 (jackpot) + $795 office/cattle = $1790
Champions Challenge: $500 (jackpot) + $300 office/cattle = $800
*$150 go forward fee for Futurity/Classic finalists*
Entries accepted on a first-paid basis.
Contests close when maximum numbers received.

B. THE $100,000 LIMITED: JACKPOT (FOR RIDERS).
The Futurity and Classic Open and Non-Pro will offer a class within a class for riders with lifetime earnings in NCHA approved contests that equal less than $100,000 as of Jan. 1, 2009.
Entry fee is $500 with $450 jackpotted.

C. THE $100,000 AMATEUR (5/6-Year-Old): $10,000 ADDED MONEY.
A contestant may show three (3) 5-year-old, three (3) 6-year-old and three (3) 6-year-old horses and must meet NCHA Amateur Rules and have lifetime earnings in NCHA approved Non-Pro contests that equal less than $100,000 as of Jan. 1, 2009. Both contests will consist of one go-round and a finals with 20% plus ties advancing to the finals.
Entry fee: $440 (jackpot) + $440 office/cattle = $880
*$All Amateur and $20,000 Non-Pro finalists must pay $100 go forward fee.*

D. THE $50,000 AMATEUR (Any-Age Horse): $10,000 ADDED MONEY.
A contestant may show three (3) horses and must meet NCHA Amateur Rules and have lifetime earnings in NCHA approved Non-Pro contests that equal less than $50,000 as of Jan. 1, 2009. The contest will consist of one go-round and a finals with 20% plus ties advancing to the finals.
Entry fee: $440 (jackpot) + $440 office/cattle = $880
*$All Amateur and $20,000 Non-Pro finalists must pay $100 go forward fee.*

E. THE $20,000 NON-PRO (Any-Age Horse): $10,000 ADDED MONEY.
A contestant may show three (3) horses and must meet NCHA Non-Pro Rules and have lifetime earnings in NCHA approved Non-Pro contests that equal less than $20,000 as of Jan. 1, 2009. The contest will consist of one go-round and a finals with 20% plus ties advancing to the finals.
Entry fee: $440 (jackpot) + $440 office/cattle = $880
*$All Amateur and $20,000 Non-Pro finalists must pay $100 go forward fee.*

2. ENTRIES
A. All entries are due paid in full by Friday, Jan. 2, 2009.

B. Any new entries received after Jan. 5, 2009, must pay a $200 late fee. ALL PAYMENTS ARE FINAL. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.

C. Slots will be assigned on a first-paid basis. CONTESTS WILL CLOSE TO NEW ENTRIES WHEN MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES ARE RECEIVED.

D. Credit card information MUST accompany faxed entries. Faxed entries MUST BE CONFIRMED by calling (706) 823-3417.

E. ABSOLUTELY NO PHONE ENTRIES will be accepted.

F. All entries must be accompanied by horse ownership papers.

3. MEMBERSHIPS
Each owner and rider must be a member of the Atlantic Coast Cutting Horse Association. The 2009 membership is $25 payable with your entry.

4. STALLS
A. Stall fee is $130 (includes pre-bedding with 4 bags shavings).

B. There are 600 inside stalls available on a first-paid basis. Only prepaid stalls will be reserved. It is strongly recommended that you include your stall payment with your entry to reserve your stall(s).

C. Stalls open beginning noon on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2000.

5. PRE-WORK
Practice works available at the Hippodrome beginning Thursday, Jan. 23, 2009.

6. CHANGES
A. Written or faxed changes within the established event/division will be accepted from the slot owner after the draw until the 1st horse runs in each contest.

B. Horse Changes: The owner will be allowed to substiture another horse by paying $200 until the 1st horse runs in each contest.

C. No changes will be allowed after the first horse runs in a class. A horse may not change draw position under any circumstances within an event.

D. Any changes after Jan. 2, 2009 cost $200.

7. SALE OF SLOTS
Slots may be sold until draw closes in each class by notifying the show office in writing and paying a $200 processing fee.

8. JUDGES
A. A five-judge system will be used in the Futurity and Classic with high and low score eliminated. The NCHA form of adjusted monitor system will be used.

B. All amateur classes will have 3 judges.

9. OTHER RULES
A. The ACCHA Show Committee reserves the right to reject any entry. All decisions of the committee are final. The ACCHA reserves the right to cancel, transfer or reschedule the Augusta Futurity and Classic without notice and/or liability. In the event of a cancellation, all fees will be refunded.

B. All rules of the NCHA not in direct conflict with the rules of the ACCHA as published herein shall apply. These rules are subject to change by the Executive Committee.

10. PAYMENT OF WINNINGS
A. Winnings will be paid to the owner of record unless otherwise directed by the owner in writing.

B. The owner of the winning horse in each Futurity and Classic class will be awarded the Augusta Futurity Winner's Trophy.

C. All finalists will receive a check.
